Back to School for Kids with Cancer (9/18/11)

RPCI staff members are joined by two mothers of pediatric cancer survivors to discuss the transition back to school after a child has been treated for cancer. What can families, schools, care teams and classmates do to help make that transition as comfortable and effective as possible?

Skin Cancer (7/22/11)

Dr. Ilene Rothman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at RPCI, shares her knowledge about skin cancer and the risks of tanning. She is joined by Kim, a melanoma survivor, who was diagnosed by skin cancer at the young age of 21.

Teens and Tobacco (6/4/11)

How many teens are smoking today? What happens when teens use tobacco or are exposed to second hand smoke? Joining Andrew Highland, PhD, Research Scientist in the Department of Health Behavior at RPCI, and Anthony Billoni, Director of the Erie-Niagara Tobacco-Free Coalition, for this discussion are a student and heatlh teacher from Sweet Home High School.

RPCI's Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Program

Kali Mordaunt and Kevin Garvey, cancer survivors in their 20s, join Dr. Lynda Beaupin, Coordinator of the new AYA program supported by the Steadfast Foundation, for a conversation on how a cancer diagnosis may affect those ages 15-29.
